Dallas Stars forward Dave Reid spent three seasons playing under Head Coach Ken Hitchcock in the mid-late 90’s, including being part of the Stars 1998-1999 Dallas Stanley Cup Championship team which was when this jersey was worn.
Reid played in 961 NHL games (220 in Dallas) as well as 118 NHL playoff games (35 in Dallas) over the course of his 18 years in
Playing a well-rounded game Reid wasn’t the flashiest performer who never eclipsed a point per game level but always seemed to put up solid numbers in the NHL. In the 96-87 season he netted 23 goals which was his carrier high, and ended the season with 44 total points in 63 games to round out that season.
Reid was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the 3rd round, 60th overall pick in the 1982 NHL entry draft. He spent a total of 10 seasons with the Bruins.
